Our client, a prestigious national law firm, is seeking a talented and motivated Insurance Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of litigation experience to join their team in the Los Angeles office. Responsibilities:
- Represent corporate clients in both Federal and State Courts, handling civil litigation involving property damage claims.
- Work closely with forensic experts to evaluate and assess the legal and financial merits of various causes of action in both single and multi-party cases.
- Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, responses, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings and trials.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Experience in subrogation and insurance recovery is a must.
- Strong academic credentials reflecting legal aptitude.
- Admission to the California Bar is required.
- At least 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on property damage claims, product liability, construction matters, or property insurance claims.
- Experience working with forensic experts (e.g., fire origin, mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, human factors, accounting, and standard of care) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and delivering oral arguments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
