Commercial Litigation Associate
Location: New York
Salary: $260,000 – $390,000
Our client is seeking a mid-level associate to join its sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of complex litigation experience, excellent academic credentials, and demonstrated analytic ability.
Associates in this role are expected to work collaboratively with partners and clients and serve as key members of the litigation team. Expected responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Conducting legal research and preparing detailed memoranda
- Managing all aspects of discovery, including propounding and responding to document requests, written discovery, and depositions
- Taking and defending depositions, and working closely with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
- Handling litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal, as applicable
- Supporting business development and other litigation-related initiatives as needed
