A leading intellectual property law firm is seeking Patent Agents or Patent Engineers/Technical Specialists who aspire to become registered Patent Agents. Candidates must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and have at least two years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting.
Technical Qualifications

Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field

Strong technical background in biological or pharmaceutical sciences preferred
Responsibilities

Conduct prior art searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses

Analyze patents and scientific publications

Support patent preparation, prosecution, and IP counseling
Skills and Experience

USPTO registration required

Minimum of two years of relevant law firm experience

Compensation
Starting base salary ranges from $110,000 to $180,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
