A global law firm is seeking a Patent Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group. This full-time role offers flexible office location options including Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
The Role
The associate will support a diverse and international client base, focusing on patent portfolio strategy, procurement, prosecution, and counseling. Responsibilities also include patent analysis and support for litigation matters.
Key Requirements

4–6 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, ideally in the electrical arts (e.g., circuit design, medical devices, consumer electronics)

USPTO registration and active bar membership in CA, NY, OR, WA, or D.C.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred (other technical degrees considered)

Experience with technologies such as machine learning, cloud computing, wireless communications, cryptography, information security, robotics, or blockchain

Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills

Proven ability to manage a large docket and work independently

Familiarity with established patent programs and international IP practices
Compensation
$200,000 – $250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
