Position Title: IP Technology Specialist

Role Overview:
An esteemed law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technology Specialist to join its dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of intellectual property matters, collaborating closely with experienced attorneys in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Patent Application Drafting & Prosecution: Prepare and file patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.

Portfolio Management: Assist clients in developing and managing their intellectual property portfolios, providing strategic advice to align with business objectives.

Litigation Support: Contribute to intellectual property litigation efforts, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing for hearings.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior associates, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Advanced degree (PhD) in Materials Science or a closely related field.

2–4 years of post-JD experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation.

Admission to practice before the USPTO.

Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where the position is based (Massachusetts, New York, or District of Columbia).

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Compensation: $150000 – $200000
