Finance Associate – Fund Finance (NAV)

Salary: $300,000-$420,000
A leading law firm seeks a Finance Associate with strong experience in fund finance and commercial lending to join its New York office. The ideal candidate is a 3rd – 5th-year associate with prior experience at top-tier law firms and a demonstrated interest in NAV-based fund financings.
Responsibilities include:
- Documenting and negotiating a broad range of commercial lending transactions, including asset-based lending (ABL), cash flow loans, and specialty or lender finance matters
- Advising on private client–focused facilities, including employee co-invest lines of credit, management company lines of credit, NAV-based financings, and subscription credit facilities
- Representing lenders and borrowers in both secured and unsecured financing transactions
- Supporting complex fund finance structures with a focus on NAV facilities
- Collaborating with deal teams to deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar
- Approximately 3-5 years of finance experience, including time at leading law firms (Am Law 100 experience preferred)
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and transactional management skills
- Experience across secured and unsecured financings
- Ability to manage matters independently and re-establish a high-volume transactional practice
