Job Title: Labor & Employment Partner
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: Base around $290,000 + bonus and benefits
Overview:
Our client, a well-established law firm, is looking to add a skilled Labor & Employment partner with 7+ years of law firm experience. The ideal candidate will bring substantial expertise in high-level labor and employment disputes and be ready to contribute to a collaborative, well-resourced environment that supports complex litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex labor and employment litigation in state and federal courts, including TROs, preliminary injunctions, dispositive motions, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Handle a broad labor and employment practice: wage-and-hour class/collective actions, traditional labor matters, ERISA disputes, and commercial disputes such as restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and contract/business disputes.
- Manage and develop client relationships while mentoring junior attorneys.
- Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts and long-term strategic goals.
Candidate Profile:
- 7+ years of law firm experience in labor and employment law.
- Portable business and strong client relationships are highly desirable.
- Comfortable with a 1,900-hour annual billable requirement.
