A top-tier international law firm is seeking a mid-level Corporate Associate to join its nationally recognized Latin America practice in either its New York or Bay Area office.
This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated cross-border transactions involving Latin America and the United States while also gaining exposure to a broad range of general corporate matters.
The ideal candidate will have experience advising emerging companies, venture capital and private equity investors, investment funds, and other corporate clients. The practice includes venture capital financings, growth equity investments, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets offerings, and other strategic corporate matters.
Associates are given significant client responsibility from the outset and work directly with founders, technology companies, investors, and investment funds on complex domestic and international transactions. Qualifications:
- J.D. (Class of 2020 or 2021 preferred) or LL.M.
- Prior corporate transactional experience at a large law firm; experience at a leading U.S. law firm is strongly preferred.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and ideally venture capital financings.
- Experience representing emerging companies, venture capital investors, private equity sponsors, or investment funds is preferred.
- Exposure to cross-border transactions involving Latin America is strongly preferred.
- Admission to the New York and/or California Bar.
- Working proficiency in Spanish.
Compensation:
Competitive base salary ranging from $365,000 to $390,000, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
