A leading Chicago based Law Firm is looking to add an Insurance Coverage Associate to its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation, direct access to partners and the autonomy to manage a varied and challenging caseload.
With a focus on coverage matters, you’ll play an active role in cases from initial strategy through trial, while developing strong client relationships and working alongside experienced coverage litigators.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage your own caseload, taking matters from inception through trial.
Work closely with supervising partners while enjoying meaningful responsibility and autonomy.
Draft and argue substantive motions in state and federal courts.
Lead written discovery, depositions and examinations under oath.
Prepare clear, well-reasoned coverage opinions and advise claims professionals and in-house counsel.
Develop client relationships while delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice.
What You’ll Bring:
2+ years of insurance coverage experience, general liability insurance, professional liability, auto insurance and D&O
Admission to the Illinois
Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills.
Confidence managing cases, communicating with clients and taking ownership of your work.
A proactive, organised approach and the drive to deliver high-quality results.
